Interview with TL Reeve

Welcome, TL Reeve!
1.  For those who might not be familiar with you, would you be a dear and
tell the readers a little about yourself? How did you get your start in the
writing business?
(TL) I would be delighted to. I have been professionally writing
since 2009. I have been published by several different publishers, under a
different pen name and just recently started working for Horny Devil
Publishing. I write predominately LGBT titles. Mostly m/m or m/m/f. I do have a
couple of m/f books and I just contracted with my writing partner, Indigo Sin book 1 of our The Crimson
Heat series. I honestly got bored when I started to write. I read some interesting
books, but I kind of felt maybe I could do them differently, so I tried. For
two years I wrote and rewrote stuff. My first attempt at publishing wasn’t
successful, so I wrote something different. It was an f/m/f story, and in 24hrs
I got the contract. I was totally beside myself.
2.  All writers fear
the dreaded “block”. Please tell us how you handle it.
(TL) I stop writing.
Honestly, I just shut down my writing program, read or do something else. Then
in a day or two come back to it. I feel refreshed when I do that.
3. Contrary to what some people envision about a romance
writer’s life, it’s not all glitz and glam. Well not for the majority of us.
With that bubble sadly busted, when you’re not writing, how to do you spend
your time?
(TL) I actually work on audio edits. I turn raw audio files into workable
books for Audible.com and Amazon. I like to think it helps me be a better
writer too.
4. I know many writers, such as Dirk and myself, keep their
pastime/career a secret. Do those close to you know you write? If so, what are
their thoughts?
(TL) Some people know I do. Since my pen name is actually the
initials of a family member who passed on, I wanted permission from my family.
Some of my friends know. But, I pretty much keep it to myself that I’m a
writer. Mostly everyone has been supportive. My family thought it was an
excellent idea that I used TL’s initials, and were excited to see what I was
going to do with it. I hope I haven’t let them down.
5. Will you share with us your all time favorite authors? If
you’re like me, it’s a long list so give us your top ten.
(TL) Lexi Blake, Shayla
Black, Lynsay Sands, Maya Banks, Silvia Day, Isabella Lapearl, Cherise
Sinclaire, Lora Leigh, AJ Llewellyn and DJ Manly.
6. If you could choose one book to go to the big screen,
yours or otherwise, which book would you choose and whom would you love see
casted in the parts?
(TL) Oh man, I think I would love to see Undercover Dom, from
our new series with Indigo. I know model wise would I would love to see play
the parts, but I haven’t thought about actor wise yet LOL, let me get back to
you on that one. 😉
7. Would you care to tell us what you’re working on now?
That is if it’s not top-secret information. If so, just whisper it in my ear. I
swear it’ll go no further.
(TL) Well as of last night, I finished book 4 in my On
the Set Series, and now I am waiting on Indigo to finish up her chapter of
Legal Dom, book 2 in our series. I am hoping by the middle of June we’ll have
that one finished. Other than that, I’m playing with some ideas… *wiggles
brows*
8. Where can we find your stories and is there a particular
reading order?
(TL)You can find my books at ARE, Amazon, Kobo, Itunes and Barnes
and Noble. As for reading order, Behind the scenes is book 1 for my On the Set
Series, followed by Rent Boy, book 2 and my newest release which is a stand
alone, Dangerous Obsession.
9. Would you please share how your present and future fans
can contact you?
(TL) There are several ways
to keep up with me:

10. Before we conclude this enlightening interview, do you
have anything else you’d like to share? The stage is all yours.
(TL) Thank you for
having me today! I really had fun. I hope to be able to come back when our new
series comes out with Indigo. Maybe we could have a contest to see who your
readers think would make the perfect Dallas Whitten or Taryn Lenox.
