Kharisma Rhayne. For those who might not be familiar with you, would you be a
dear and tell the readers a little about yourself? How did you get your start in
the writing business?
graphics for a few authors and had written stuff for ages, but always just
filed it away. One asked to read one of the things I had been writing and
pushed me to submit it. I also was offered a spot on a contributor blog. After
hanging out with the other published authors there, after I year I decided to
publish my own work.
the dreaded “block”. Please tell us how you handle it.
projects going at once. So, if I get blocked on one, I move to another and I
just go around and around. It’s often why I’ll have no releases for a while and
then suddenly a ton of them…they end up finishing up all around the same time.
writer’s life, it’s not all glitz and glam. Well not for the majority of us.
With that bubble sadly busted, when you’re not writing, how to do you spend
mom before anything else…so I’m a taxi (no bus transportation), a sports mom,
and a school volunteer. I live on a number of acres, so I’m hauling wood or hay
and all that non-glamorous stuff.
pastime/career a secret. Do those close to you know you write? If so, what are
mom because I’m a bad influence on my kids for writing erotic romance. Others
have been supportive and find it interesting. Most people have no clue because
I am very active at the schools my children attend. And we live so rural, very
small town; people aren’t as open-minded as they are in big cities.
you’re like me, it’s a long list so give us your top ten.
1) Fyodor Dostoyevsky (yes, my inner geek girl is coming out here) 2) Monica
McCarty (yummy Highlanders — *swoons* Jamie Campbell and Hawk) 3) Donna Grant
(more yummy Highlanders) 4) Margaret Mitchell (yes, even I love Gone With the
Wind) 5) Charlaine Harris (I know, the last Sookie books haven’t been great,
but I started the series and still keep them on pre-order) 6) Diana Gabaldon
(Quite honestly, I have a love/hate relationship with Ms Gabaldon’s books.
She’s one of those authors I read one series from, but often wonder why I went
on to get the next one. I’m a series girl and can’t bear to have an incomplete
collection) 7) Stephen King (how can you be a reader and NOT have him on your
top 10 list?) 8) Eileen Dreyer (wonderful romances) 9) Nikita Black (love The
Renegade’s Woman and have read it several times – generally I won’t re-read a
book) 10) Madeline Baker (talk about a romance genious)
yours or otherwise, which book would you choose and whom would you love see
casted in the parts?
Series on screen. My Xander and his blood splatter would put Spartacus (Starz)
to shame. Highlander Mine…of course, my Highlanders lol…and Pieces of You (In
Pieces series) which is coming this summer to ebook. Lacee and Linc are sure to
start some fires. For other authors, I would love to see a series of new movies made for War & Peace (I’m
not even going to count the 2007 TV 4-Part Mini Series).
That is if it’s not top-secret information. If so, just whisper it in my ear. I
swear it’ll go no further.
working on? I’ve got several m/m anthology shorts I’m wrapping up. I’m working
on more episodes of Highlander Mine, wrapping up Pieces of You, working on more
episodes of Heart of Vengeance (Viking erotic romance). I’m also working on
outlining several spin off series’ and well as more in my Bound by Seduction
find a little more on them here http://kharismarhaynebooks.blogspot.com/
I’m also on Amazon,
All Romance, Barnes
& Noble, NBP,
and Bookstrand. Most of
my series and serials do need to be read in order.

have you met Breandan? Here’s a little about the released episodes in my
Highlander Mine serial:
Season 1 – Episode 1
Meet Auralee Fraser and see into her life as it is in 2012. As a history major doing Scottish research (and fluent in Gaelic) she feels misplaced – perhaps born in the wrong century. But, she is still a woman and her over-protective brother is on her last nerve.
Season 1 – Episode 2
Meet Breandan MacKinnon, his friends, his family and his need for survival in his century–the one Auralee can only dream about. He knows he needs to prove himself to his father, the MacKinnon chief so that he can take his rightful place.
Season 1 – Episode 3
Auralee and Breandan are brought together in this episode of the serial. How did she get there? What does Breandan think? Was Argus right?
Season 1 – Episode 4
Breandon and Auralee should have had time to get to know one another, but Breandan’s still hell bent on avoiding what Angus and Niall believe to be his fate. When a betrothal is announced, it won’t go without consequence.
Season 1 – Episode 5
Find out what happens after the betrothal refusal. See a new side of Tor.
Season 1 – Episode 6
Breandan has become enraged at the doing of his brother, Tor and Auralee. Who does Auralee really belong with?
Season 1 – Episode 7
We’ve been keeping an eye on Breandan & Auralee, but what about Trystan in current times? What effect is Auralee not returning home having on him?
Drostan shares some much needed words with Breandan.
After confronting Tor yet again, Breandan makes a shocking decision.
Season 1 – Episode 8
Will Breandan and Auralee’s stubbornness be their downfall? When does the time to swallow your pride come?
Auralee learns that love can be shown in a variety of ways.
Trystan & Galen meet in current time to learn about their mutual connection – Auralee.
