Interview with Kassandra Cox

Kassandra Cox.

For those who might not be familiar with you, would you be a
dear and tell the readers a little about yourself? How did you get your start in
the writing business?

I’m happy to.  First I’d like to thank the two of you for
taking the time to interview and for inviting me here.  I am definitely a big fan of yours.
I was born and raised
in the Philadelphia, PA area, but I have travelled quite a bit for work.  I believe I’ve visited about 40 of the fifty
united states at least once, and most of the countries in western Europe.  Since travelling in a train or airplane can
be monotonous, I’d often read or jot down ideas while en route to my
destination.  While enjoying some
relaxation on facebook, I stumbled into role playing and got a great deal of
enjoyment from that.  It gave me the
confidence to start putting some of my earlier ideas into short stories.  Earlier this year I signed on with Horny
Devil Publishing and have been writing ever since.  On the family front, I have a husband of 25
years, three wonderful children, and a family dog.  We very much enjoy travelling as a family for
leisure as well.

2.  All writers fear
the dreaded “block”. Please tell us how you handle it.

I have to walk away for a bit.  I usually
have a few different projects going on at the same time so I can swing between
them.  If one is giving me a hard time, I
switch to another.  The break usually is
enough to get me back on track.

3. Contrary to what some people envision about a romance
writer’s life, it’s not all glitz and glam. Well not for the majority of us.
With that bubble sadly busted, when you’re not writing, how to do you spend
your time?

Definitely no glitz and glamor for me.
I work in a fairly high pressure job in the pharmaceutical industry
about 50 or 60 hours a week, which is the reason for my frequent travel.  I have a husband, three kids and a dog who
take up a bit of time and I thoroughly enjoy spending as much time as I can
with them.  Sometimes it’s a bit of a
struggle to write, but it is my secret addiction.  I do it whenever I can squeeze in the time.

4. I know many writers, such as Dirk and myself, keep their
pastime/career a secret. Do those close to you know you write? If so, what are
their thoughts?

I do keep it pretty secret.  Only
my immediate family and a handful of close virtual friends knows that I
write.  All of them are very proud of me
for following my passion and making a dream a reality.  Everyone has been incredibly supportive.

5. Will you share with us your all time favorite authors?

If you’re like me, it’s a long list so give us
your top ten.  It’s an incredibly long
list.  I’ve been an avid reader for as
long as I can remember.  In no particular
order because they are all fabulous, here are my Top Ten: Shayla Black, Lorelei
James, Maya Banks, Jaci Burton, Lora Leigh, Lori Foster, Lisa Marie Rice, Mari
Carr, Monette Michaels and Kaylea Cross.
There are quite a few new upcoming authors, very recently published that
I am coming to love as well.

6. If you could choose one book to go to the big screen,
yours or otherwise, which book would you choose and whom would you love see
casted in the parts?

Oh there are just so many books I’d love to
see on the big screen.  When I read I get
images in my head and seeing them played out would be wonderful.  I think I’d have to choose Lorelei James
Rough Rider Series.  I just love Cord and
AJ and would love to see that played out.
Hmmm, actors…I think I’d have to choose someone like Bradley Cooper for
Cord and possibly Scarlett Johansson for AJ.

7. Would you care to tell us what you’re working on now?
That is if it’s not top-secret information. If so, just whisper it in my ear. I
swear it’ll go no further.

I am thrilled to tell you what I am working
on.  I’ve turned in Doctor, Doctor Part
Two and am working on the second installment of the Doctor’s Orders Series,
Doctor Dom.  I am also just beginning
book two of the Menage Mates Series.  In
addition, Edward Tailor and I are awaiting edits on our co-authored book,
Splinter’s Heart which is a paranormal romance and we’ve started on our next
book which is also in the paranormal genre.
As I mentioned earlier, I like to have a few irons in the fire so I can
bounce back and forth.

8. Where can we find your stories and is there a particular
reading order?

You can find my
stories on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, All Romance Ebooks, Smashwords and
Kobo.  Just search for Kassandra
Cox.  The three that are out right now
are unrelated and don’t need to be read in any particular order.  Doctor, Doctor Part 1 is the first book in
the Doctor’s Orders Series, Three’s Company is the first book in the Menage
Mates Series and Caroline’s Christmas Surprise was written specifically for the
Naughty Not Nice Christmas Anthology.

9. Would you please share how your present and future fans
can contact you?

I’d love to and I would
love to hear from them!  I have a
Facebook page, a Facebook Author page, a website, and author pages on Amazon
and Goodreads.  Links for each are below.

10. Before we wrap up this enlightening interview, do you
have anything else you’d like to share? The stage is all yours.

I do
want to thank you for showcasing me and I’d also just like to add that I am
incredibly grateful for all of the support and encourage I’ve received along
the way.  It’s been an incredibly
enjoyable journey and I am just loving it.
Special thanks to Horny Devil Publishing staff for all of the help and

Kassandra, thank you again for stopping by and chatting with me. For those reading this interview, I hoped you enjoyed learning more about Kass and between this blog post and the other one shared above, your interest was peaked to give her works a chance. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
